A month-long probe by Reno’s Regional Narcotics Unit ended with the arrest of a 26-year-old woman and the seizure of drugs capable of producing more than 107,000 deadly doses of fentanyl.

Detectives executed a search warrant on September 26 at a residence on River Rock Street, where they recovered roughly 215 grams of fentanyl worth more than $32,000, 188 grams of methamphetamine, $10,750 in cash, and a firearm.

Authorities say the stash could have fueled a wave of overdoses in the region.

The suspect, Tayla Moore, was booked into Washoe County Jail on multiple felony counts, including trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, unlawful firearm possession, and drug sales near a school zone.

Law enforcement officials likened the cache to a ticking time bomb, emphasizing that even a tiny amount of fentanyl can prove fatal. The bust highlights the growing fight against synthetic opioids, which continue to wreak havoc nationwide.

The investigation remains active. Authorities urged anyone with information to contact the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness.
