Rite Aid Pharmacy Home Drug Test (2023 Review) Our Thoughts
With so many drug tests out there, it can be difficult to determine which one to choose. I’ve reviewed countless drug tests so far, and I decided to give the Rite Aid Pharmacy home test a try.
Here’s how this test worked for me.
What is Rite Aid Pharmacy Home Drug Test?
As the name suggests, this is a drug test that you can use in the comfort of your home.
The test is manufactured by Rite Aid Corporation.
The company went from a Pennsylvania store called Thrift D Discount Center to being ranked 150 on the Fortune 500 list of the largest US companies in 2020, based on their revenue.
Rite Aid Home Drug Test Benefits
Here are the biggest benefits I found when using this home drug test.
1.) Private
The company says the test is private and confidential, which is true.
As I mentioned, this is a home drug test. This means you can do it on your own, in your home.
There’s no need to go to a lab or give any private information to anyone.
Best of all, no one except you has to know the results. So, even if the test is positive, you aren’t obligated to tell anyone.
2.) Tests for the Presence of 7 Drugs
The package also says the test can detect the presence of 7 drugs:
- Marijuana
- Cocaine
- Methamphetamine
- Opiates
- Phencyclidine
- Amphetamine
- Ecstasy
Based on my research, and other users’ reviews, this is true.
I like that the test can detect various drugs, especially the most commonly used ones.
3.) Ease of Use
I found the test to be extremely easy to use.
There’s a self-contained drug test cup that prevents any leaking or mess, which is a big plus when dealing with urine.
I didn’t have any issues using this home drug test. I followed the instructions:
- Collect at least 30ml of urine in the cup
- Wait 5 minutes to read the results on the test strip
- Follow the instructions to interpret the results
Pros:
- Fast results
- FDA-approved
- Easy to use
- Tests for the presence of 7 drugs
My Rating:
- Ease of use: 5/5
- Price: 5/5
- Result accuracy: 3/5
Rite Aid Home Drug Test Shortfalls
I also found the Rite Aid drug test to have some drawbacks.
1.) Result Accuracy
The company claims the drug test has 99% accuracy, which isn’t true. While there are many positive experiences, I found several reviews where users claim the test didn’t work for them.
I tried it three times, and two times it showed correct results. However, one time I tested negative on the Rite Aid test and positive in the lab.
So, if you have a drug test for a job or a court hearing, I would recommend trying another test next to this one to be sure the results are correct.
Cons:
- Results are not always accurate
- Only 1 test in the package
Comparison to Other Home Drug Tests
Here’s how the Rite Aid test compares to other home drug tests.
The price of Rite Aid is the same or similar to popular home drug tests, such as PreScreen Plus Mini, Easy@Home, and Care Check. All of these are priced at or around $25.
Rite Aid comes with only 1 test in the package, the same as the Care Check, whereas PreScreen Plus Mini comes with 12 test strips, and Easy@Home is sold in 5 packs [1].
Finally, both PreScreen Plus Mini and Easy@Home check for 12 substances. Rite Aid checks for 7, and Care Check only detect marijuana.
