Many readers asked me to write a review on the First Check Home Drug Test Kit and find out if it works. Having tried several at-home drug tests myself, I was curious to see how this one would compare.

So, I did extensive research, reviewed other user experiences, and put the First Check kit to the test. Here’s what I found out.

What Is the First Check Drug Test?

First Check Drug Test is a home drug test kit that you can use to detect the presence of drugs in your system. The kit contains everything you need to administer the test, including a urine sample cup, testing strips, and instructions [1].

Anyone can use the kit to test for the presence of 7 different drugs:

  1. Marijuana
  2. Cocaine
  3. Opiates
  4. Methamphetamine
  5. Ecstasy
  6. Phencyclidine (PCP)
  7. Amphetamines

The First Check Drug Test’s benefits are that it is easy to use, it provides quick results, and the product also offers a free laboratory test confirmation service.

Fast Results and Easy To Use

You can use the kit in the privacy of your own home. You do not need to go to a lab or clinic to complete the test.

You only need a small amount of urine and follow the instruction. I got my results in just 5 minutes.

Free Laboratory Confirmation Test

One of the main benefits I noticed while using The First Check Drug Test is the free, confidential confirmatory testing at their laboratory.

If you get a positive result and want to send your sample to the laboratory for confirmation, they can do it quickly.

What Are The First Check Drug Test Shortfalls?

The First Check Drug Test’s shortfalls are its lack of accuracy and the delayed confirmation process.

Lack Of Accuracy

A person dipping a test strip in a jar of urineDespite using the latest technology, the First Check Drug Test is not as accurate as other drug testing methods. When I got my results back, they showed that I had consumed marijuana recently, although I had not.

Another downside of the product was that the First Check Drug Test could only detect 7 drugs. This limited drug detection can also impact the accuracy of the test, as some drugs may not be detected even if they’re present.

Delayed Confirmation Process

The confirmation process can take a while, and the customer service could be better.

Their official website says you can get the results within 24 hours, but I waited over 48 hours to get mine.

So, this isn’t your best option if you’re in a hurry.

How Does First Check Compare to Other Products?

I have tried numerous other at-home drug tests in the process, and here is how First Check measures up to PreScreen Plus Mini, Easy@Home, and Care Check.

PreScreen Plus Mini Drug Test

Two pieces of PreScreen Plus Mini drug testThe PreScreen Plus Mini Drug Test has 12 panels that test for marijuana, MDMA, K2/spice, and other illicit drugs with a shelf life of up to 18 months.

This test is accurate 99% of the time because it meets specific criteria set by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments or CLIA. This means that it is a low-risk test that the FDA has cleared for home use.

When I compared the PreScreen Plus Mini Drug Test to First Check, I found that it was more accurate and could detect more drugs.

Easy@Home

Easy@Home is another one of the market’s most popular at-home drug tests. It’s similar to the PreScreen Plus Mini Drug Test because it’s FDA-cleared and highly accurate.

It also has 12 panels but doesn’t test for Ecstasy or Molly, which might impact the accuracy of the test. So, in my opinion, it is almost the same as First Check.

Care Check

If you need to test for marijuana specifically, Care Check is the market’s most affordable drug testing service.

Although they do have a 12-panel drug test, they are most effective in testing for marijuana. It only costs $7-$25, making it an excellent choice for students or employees on a budget.

Where to Buy and Price?

You can buy the First Check Drug Test kit from major retailers or big supermarket chains for about $10.

Who Should Take First Check?

Those who should take First Check are people who need to test for drugs quickly and easily. It’s a simple test that can be done at home by parents and at work for employers who need to test their employees for drugs.

Who Shouldn’t Take First Check?

Those who shouldn’t take First Check are people who need to test for a wide variety of drugs. Because it is not as reliable as other drug tests, it’s not suggested for people who require high accuracy.

Users’ Feedback

Some users are saying that the First Check Drug Test is inaccurate and will not test for all drugs. However, others say it is best to use it as a pre-drug option.

“Liked this as a pre-drug test option. It can take some time to get the results and plan ahead!”
Caroline P, California

“This product will not test for Synthetic Cannabis. I run a drug treatment program for teens and young adults. Recently, a third of our teens tested positive for Synthetic Cannabis. ”
Larry Fritzlan, California

FAQs

Do First Check Drug Tests Expire?

Yes, First Check drug tests expire because they have a shelf life of two years.

Can I Use First Check Drug Tests at Home?

Yes, you can use First Check drug tests at home. They are easy to use, and they provide quick results.

Should You Trust This Drug Test?

First Check is a drug test that may detect the presence of drugs in your body; however, based on my experience and user feedback, I would not recommend it because it is inaccurate.

I recommend using the Twelve Panel PreScreen Plus Mini Drug Test for an accurate result. I chose this drug test specifically because it tests for the presence of 12 drugs and is FDA-authorized and CLIA-waived, eliminating any possible false positives.

The drug test meets high standards, making it more dependable than First Check. Although you may have to pay a little extra, it will be worth your while in the end.
