A coordinated drug bust in Vance County led to the arrest of a man charged with trafficking meth and cocaine, along with weapons violations.
The raid took place on October 10 at a Kristie Lane residence, located west of Townsville.
The Vance County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Unit, alongside the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, executed the search warrant, uncovering a substantial stash of methamphetamine, cocaine, and firearms.
Several of the guns found at the scene had been reported stolen from Granville County, deepening the severity of the case.
Following the search, authorities arrested James Jones, who now faces multiple charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell cocaine, maintaining a residence for drug distribution, and multiple firearm-related offenses.
Jones was released on a $330,000 secured bond, sparking concern in the community as legal proceedings move forward.
