Two individuals now face charges in Russell County after authorities uncovered drugs, firearms, and cash in a targeted raid.
The Russell County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on Whatley Drive.
Acting on intelligence, officers identified Samuel Coulter as a major distributor in the Phenix City area.
During the search, Coulter and Mikayla Cole were apprehended, with significant seizures that underscore the scale of the alleged operations.
The investigation led to the recovery of substantial amounts of illicit substances, with an estimated street value surpassing $45,000. Among the confiscated items were:
- 380 grams of suspected methamphetamine ($38,000 value)
- 36 grams of suspected fentanyl ($3,600 value)
- 26 grams of suspected cocaine ($2,600 value)
- 44 grams of suspected marijuana ($880 value)
- 20 Xanax and 6 Adderall pills
- Firearms, including an AR-15 rifle and a Taurus 9mm handgun
- Approximately $13,095 in cash
Charged with trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with possession of cocaine, marijuana, and controlled substances, Coulter and Cole are being held at the Russell County Jail on a $350,000 bond.
This operation reflects a coordinated effort between multiple law enforcement agencies to tackle drug trafficking in the region, aiming to curb its ripple effect across local communities.
