The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has stepped up its fight against narcotics with a state-of-the-art TruNarc Handheld Narcotics Analyzer, funded by a $30,000 grant from the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership.
This advanced tool can identify nearly 500 substances, including narcotics, stimulants, depressants, and hallucinogens, without direct contact—an innovation enhancing officer safety and efficiency.
The TruNarc device scans through plastic or glass, reducing contamination risks and exposure to hazardous materials.
Its real-time, tamper-proof results streamline investigations and provide airtight evidence, complete with time and date stamps, aiding swift prosecutions.
Officers recently underwent training to deploy the analyzer, signaling a leap forward in the county’s drug enforcement efforts.
