Musk Drops Fresh Drug Test Results, Challenges Critics to Follow Suit

Elon Musk fired back at drug use allegations with a new set of hair drug test results, posting them online and challenging critics, including The New York Times, to get tested too.

In his latest effort to dispel rumors about his drug use during Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, Musk shared ‘negative’ results from both a urine and hair test.

The results, posted on Tuesday, were aimed at quelling accusations that Musk had been using ketamine, ecstasy, and magic mushrooms. Musk didn’t hold back, calling out The Times and The Wall Street Journal as “fake journalists” and claiming they’d “fail” drug tests of their own.

“They lied through their teeth about me,” Musk said, turning the tables by demanding that reporters undergo their own testing. “Let’s see their drug test results.”

Earlier in the week, Musk had posted negative urine test results, but some questioned their legitimacy, noting that hair tests offer a longer window for detecting drugs, often spanning up to three months.

Musk’s hair test, which he took on June 11, returned negative results for a range of substances, including amphetamines, cocaine, ketamine, and marijuana, among others.

The saga began with an explosive report from The Times last month, where Musk was accused by unnamed sources of using ketamine excessively, along with other illicit substances. The report also claimed Musk kept a daily pillbox filled with nearly 20 pills, including ketamine, leading to serious health issues.

As the world watches, Musk remains unflinching. Whether this latest move will put the rumors to rest or fuel the fire further remains to be seen—but one thing’s clear: Musk’s war of words with the media isn’t over yet.
