Memphis Drug Bust Nets 2 Brothers, Guns, and Fentanyl Haul

Last Updated On: October 27, 2025

Two brothers landed in custody after a Memphis Safe Task Force operation pulled back the curtain on a substantial drug operation.

On October 22, the task force—working hand-in-hand with Memphis Police—hit two properties with search warrants. Darrious McCraven and Marcus McCraven were both picked up at a Scottsdale Avenue residence.

The haul? Six firearms and a pharmacy’s worth of illegal substances: fentanyl, cocaine, crack, ecstasy, alprazolam, and adderall.

It’s the kind of bust that shows what happens when local and regional law enforcement pool resources. The Memphis Safe Task Force has been making waves across the city, targeting operations that flood neighborhoods with both drugs and weapons—a dangerous combination that’s plagued communities nationwide.

Fentanyl continues to be a major concern for law enforcement. The synthetic opioid, often mixed with other drugs, has driven overdose deaths to record levels. Finding it alongside other narcotics and a half-dozen guns paints a picture of an operation that wasn’t small-time.

Both suspects now face charges as authorities continue their investigation into the scope of the operation.
