Man Sentenced for Attempted Drug Test Fraud Using Synthetic Urine

A 26-year-old man from Orange City, Tristan William Fraser, was arrested on April 1 at 3:20 p.m. in Rock Rapids.

Fraser faces charges of attempting to defraud a drug and alcohol test, a first-offense crime, by using synthetic urine and additives.

The arrest came after Fraser was caught trying to manipulate the results of a court-mandated probation drug test.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, he expelled synthetic urine, which had been hidden in his pocket, during the screening at the Lyon County Law Enforcement Center in Rock Rapids.
