Four people were arrested following a significant drug bust at a Fresno County property near Justin Garza High School late Thursday.
The operation, uncovered by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, took place in a warehouse located behind a home near Grantland and Ashlan avenues.
The bust came after detectives received a tip from Valley Crime Stoppers, pointing to potential illegal drug sales.
Investigators discovered the distributors held events dubbed “Sunday Funday,” which allegedly had been running since the start of the year.
“When we walked in, it was like a baseball card or record show,” said Tony Botti, spokesperson for the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. “But instead of collectibles, it was various types of drugs.”
Inside the warehouse, law enforcement seized 400 pounds of marijuana, and 120 pounds of THC edibles, along with smaller quantities of cocaine, ketamine, and Xanax.
Four handguns were also recovered during the operation. Authorities arrested four men and questioned about 30 others. No minors were involved in the arrests.
Nearby resident Jason Oxford noted that the property regularly attracted large crowds. “Every Tuesday and Thursday night, cars would fill the lot.
I’ve seen people wearing vests, claiming to be security, but it was always unclear what was going on.”
Botti emphasized the importance of community vigilance. “If you want a clean and safe neighborhood, speak up. If you see something, let us know. We’ll investigate.”
This bust highlights the ongoing efforts by local authorities to clamp down on illegal drug activity in the area.
