A recent raid in Lewiston, Maine, ended with two arrests and the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, and a firearm, casting a shadow over a quiet apartment complex.
On Thursday, October 10, Lewiston Police officers and agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) executed a search warrant at 251 Blake Street, apartment #39.
Inside, they found a cache of illegal substances: 142 grams of fentanyl, five grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and two grams of methamphetamine.
A pistol and other signs of drug trafficking were also uncovered in the raid.
The arrest list includes 42-year-old Chad Fogg, who faces charges of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and violation of release conditions.
Fogg was already out on six separate conditions of release when officers detained him. Joining him in custody is 27-year-old Joseph Moore, charged with aggravated drug trafficking and possession of a firearm as a prohibited person.
The Lewiston Police Department was backed by the MDEA and Auburn Police Department’s Proactive Community Enforcement Unit in the operation.
This joint effort is a stark reminder of the ongoing fight against illegal drug distribution in local neighborhoods.
