Four Miami Police Officers Suspended Amid Drug Test Investigation

Last Updated On: June 17, 2025

Four members of the Miami Police Department’s internal affairs unit have been placed on administrative leave as part of an ongoing investigation, sources confirm.

The suspended officers include two police officers, one sergeant, and one lieutenant.

The two officers were relieved of duty after reportedly failing a random drug test.

Meanwhile, the internal probe now centers on whether the sergeant and lieutenant adhered to departmental policies designed to uphold the department’s integrity.

The police department has yet to disclose the officers’ identities or provide further details on the investigation.

CBS News Miami has reached out to the department and is awaiting a response. Efforts to contact the Miami Police Union and the Fraternal Order of Police for comment are ongoing.
