Five Arrested in Oelwein Drug Bust, Including Local School Employee

Oelwein Police arrested five individuals following a coordinated drug investigation at two separate residences.

The simultaneous searches, carried out Friday, targeted homes on North Frederick Avenue and 7th Street NW, where authorities seized marijuana and psilocybin, a hallucinogen.

Those arrested include 28-year-old Michael Seeders, 21-year-old Collin Ricchio, 22-year-old Cameron Seeders, 47-year-old Michael Seeders, and 43-year-old Karen Seeders.

Karen Seeders, a district employee, has been suspended by the school pending further action, according to Superintendent Josh Ehn.

The suspects were transported to the Fayette County Jail, where they await their initial court appearances. The Oelwein Police Department was supported by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and investigations are ongoing.
