A probationer with an active felony warrant was arrested in Eureka, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Sears, 58, was stopped by deputies during a routine patrol. As part of his probation conditions, a search was conducted, uncovering 90.82 grams of methamphetamine, 8.8 grams of fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.
Sears now faces multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia, along with probation violations. He was taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility, where he remains in custody.
This arrest underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in tackling drug-related offenses in the community.
