Three arrests and significant drug seizures marked a key operation by Henry County’s Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

The Sheriff’s Narcotics Interdiction unit initiated the sweep with a traffic stop, arresting 60-year-old Rhonda Crutchfield, wanted on prior distribution charges in the county, and 44-year-old Amanda Spangler, charged with possession of controlled substances.

This first move led authorities to seize an undisclosed amount of suspected fentanyl.

Later, information from the stop led officials to a home on South Court Creek in Collinsville.

The Sheriff’s SWAT Team conducted a narcotics raid at the residence, seizing suspected methamphetamine, additional fentanyl, and digital scales.

During the raid, 49-year-old Tiwan Dillard was detained on firearm and substance possession charges, adding to the ongoing probe into Henry County’s drug activities.

The Department of Forensic Science in Roanoke will assess the seized substances.

Henry County residents with information are encouraged to contact HCSO at 276-638-8751, as the county works to curb drug-related crimes and strengthen community safety.
