Two fugitives in Cambria County, Michael Baxter, 38, and Kara Dillon, 32, were apprehended during a drug bust, according to local deputies.
The pair had been hiding inside a Nash Street residence when officers, armed with a search warrant, arrived.
Authorities say Baxter and Dillon were already wanted for prior offenses. Upon searching the home, deputies found evidence suggesting deeper involvement in drug trafficking.
Motivated by what they discovered, they secured additional warrants.
The subsequent search uncovered drug paraphernalia, trafficking tools, a firearm, and nearly $1,000 in cash, sealing the fate of the two suspects.
Now in custody at the Cambria County Prison, Baxter and Dillon face fresh charges related to drug trafficking and firearm violations, in addition to their previous warrants.
