Ezra Mam, a standout player for the Broncos, allegedly tested positive for drugs following a car crash in Brisbane.

The 21-year-old was driving his Ford Ranger on Simpson Road in Bardon when it collided head-on with an Uber, a Toyota Camry, at around 5 p.m. yesterday.

While no one was seriously injured, the incident raised red flags. Mam’s roadside drug test allegedly returned a positive result, though he passed a blood alcohol test.

Authorities have sent further samples for confirmation, which could take up to three weeks.

Three Uber passengers, including a school-aged child, were transported to the hospital as a precaution, all reportedly in stable condition.

Mam’s future now hangs in the balance as both his career and reputation are on the line. Police continue to investigate the incident, leaving questions about the young player’s next steps unanswered for now.
