A drug bust in Northeast Baltimore has resulted in 10 indictments, as authorities crack down on a group allegedly trafficking narcotics.
The investigation began in February, targeting the Belair-Parkside neighborhood, where a crew known as “4200” was suspected of dealing drugs in and around the 4200 blocks of Nicholas and Sheldon Avenues, and the 4300 block of Belair Road.
Police believe the group was involved in distributing cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
After months of surveillance, detectives raided eight locations connected to the suspects, one of which was Royal Tobacco & Grocery on Belair Road.
Among those charged is Romiyo Testaye, a clerk at the store who also resides above it.
The bust uncovered a significant haul—authorities seized 10 firearms, including an AR-style rifle, along with 200 grams of heroin/fentanyl and 120 grams of cocaine.
Others facing charges include Davon Butler, Taquan Lee, George Lee, Tykala Donaldson, Jason Williams, Gerard Anderson, Louis Brown, Terrell Cloude, and Shamika Watson.
This operation underscores the continued efforts by law enforcement to root out drug activity in Baltimore, as communities face the devastating effects of opioid-related substances like fentanyl.
